On the 4th February 2010, the government announced that the scrappage scheme, designed to help car dealers and manufacturers alike boost car sales and assist the motor industry through the difficult economic climate, was to be extended by another month. The new deadline gives prospective buyers until March this year to cash in on the scrappage incentive offers.
